Cristian “Chicote” Calderón leaves the Eagles

After his successful stint with América, Cristian “Chicote” Calderón will return to Necaxa, the club where he established himself in Liga MX.
The left-back played 18 months with the Águilas, during which time he won two league titles and a Campeón de Campeones, a Liga MX Super Cup, and a Campeones Cup.
Although his debut in the First Division was with Atlas, he enjoyed better moments in Aguascalientes: He scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 37 matches between the 2019 Clausura and Apertura tournaments.
Calderón's departure comes in response to the existing agreement between América and Atlético de San Luis for the arrival of Uruguayan Juan Manuel Sanabria to the team coached by Brazilian André Jardine.
The South American player was coached by Jardine during his time in Potosí, and the manager had been trying to bring him in as a reinforcement for several tournaments, something he finally achieved.
