Meta increases its profits by 36% in the second quarter of 2025

The American social media giant Meta—the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp—announced this Wednesday a profit of $18.337 billion for the second quarter of 2025, a 36% year-over-year increase.
Revenue for the quarter ending June 30 totaled $47.516 billion, a 22% year-over-year increase, the company detailed, which today also reaffirmed its commitment to continue investing in sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) systems.
"We had a strong quarter, both for our business and our community (...) I'm excited to build personal superintelligence for everyone in the world," Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a statement following the results.
