However, Apple has implemented an aggressive trade-in discount program that allows users to get significant discounts on their purchases, especially for those who own previous-generation devices.

This business strategy seeks to maintain sales momentum before the launch of the iPhone 17, scheduled for September 2025 , Apple 's traditional date for unveiling its new products.

Current iPhone 16 prices start at $599 for the base model and go up to $1,599 for the higher-storage Pro Max versions .

Apple has implemented a trade-in discount program that allows you to receive discounts from US$58.33 to US$816 by trading in an iPhone SE (2nd generation) or later.

However, discounts and offers are starting to appear in various markets. In the UK , some retailers are starting to discount some iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models by up to £100 (US$135).

According to leaks and reports from specialized sites, pre-orders for the iPhone 17 will begin on September 12, and the official retail launch will be on September 19. These dates coincide with Apple's usual release schedule, which traditionally unveils its new devices in September.
