YPF increased fuel prices by 3.5% and launched a 6% discount on nighttime loading with the App.

Starting this Tuesday, July 1 , YPF will implement a 3.5% fuel price increase at all service stations across the country. The state-owned company explained that this increase is due to well-known factors such as international oil prices , the exchange rate , fuel taxes , and biofuel prices.

The increase will apply nationwide and is in addition to the adjustments the company has been making monthly following the deregulation of the sector. According to YPF, the measure was taken in light of cost developments and the international context. This update will impact both gasoline and diesel.

In parallel with the increase, YPF will implement a 3% discount for loads made between midnight and 6 a.m. , provided payment is made through the YPF app . The initiative aims to promote the use of digital media and encourage loading during off-peak hours, offering a more economical alternative.

Another new feature is that the self-service system will operate 24 hours a day at gas stations that offer this service. This benefit will also include an additional 3% discount , which will also be available during the nighttime hours, for a total of 6% off for those who use the app and choose this option.

The company announced it is working to expand its network of self-service stations and reach 50% of the total in the coming months. This will depend on customer response and feasibility at each location in the country.

However, this option will not be available in the provinces of La Pampa, Jujuy, and Buenos Aires due to legal restrictions. Therefore, in those jurisdictions, the self-service discount will not apply, although the 3% nighttime discount with the APP will remain in effect.

The oil company emphasized that this new scheme seeks to improve the user experience and make fueling more flexible , with tools that allow customers to choose how and when to refuel. The goal is to adapt to new consumption dynamics and decentralize demand.

This new approach represents a cultural shift in fuel price management in Argentina . The state-owned oil company seeks to adapt to new consumption patterns by promoting digitalization and greater customer engagement. These measures, which are in addition to other initiatives in the energy sector during Javier Milei 's administration, mark a shift in the company's commercial strategy.
