Jujuy: Radicalism won a resounding victory, the Libertarians consolidated their second place, and the PJ was relegated.
Marked by low turnout, in Jujuy the radicalism of Governor Carlos Sadir , together with Gerardo Morales in the shadows, comfortably won the provincial election by more than 15 points over La Libertad Avanza, which consolidated itself as the second force.
Led by radicalism, "Jujuy Crece," the local version of Together for Change with 40 political parties that includes the PRO, the Socialist Party, the GEN and the ARI - among others -, was especially successful in the interior of the province , where Peronism used to be strong, but now it is a distant third .
Jujuy was renewing 24 of the 48 seats in the Legislature, where the ruling party put 18 at stake. Although it lost several, it maintains the majority minority for the next two years, having retained at least 12. Before midnight, speculation was rife about maintaining its own quorum.
"We are happy because the people of Jujuy have ratified the victory of a political project and not an adventure," said an emboldened Alberto Bernis, vice-governor of Jujuy.
"A political project that began in 2015 when, with Gerardo Morales, we restored peace in Jujuy. We were victorious in 2019 and in 2023 with Sadir. Today, a project is ratified in Jujuy," Bernis added, in a setting where the former Radical governor was not present.

For its part, La Libertad Avanza , with a coalition formed by the president of the National Senate bloc, Ezequiel Atauche , and National Representative Manuel Quintar , finished in second place with just over 20% of the votes. Only once the vote count is complete will the 24 seats be divided using the d'hont system.
At the closing of the lists, two other Libertarian candidates emerged, barely diminishing their influence. The statistic highlighted by the Liberals is the percentage of support for LLA in the Jujuy capital, where it accounts for 38% of the province's voters. For the first time, the Libertarians will have representation in the Legislature , reaching seven.

The Justicialist Party completed the podium, competing in a divided race. With Gustavo Menéndez, mayor of Merlo, in western GBA, as the intervenor, the list, which included candidates from La Cámpora and former provincial PJ president Rubén Rivarola , barely managed to reach double digits.
In addition to the 18 ruling party members, the other force that had seats at stake was the Justicialist bloc. It risked six of its twelve seats and lost its majority.
Meanwhile, the Left and Workers' Front, which included national representative Alejandro Vilca as its leader, finished fourth. It reached around 8%, but more importantly, it surpassed the 5% threshold. Thus, the three-member bloc will expand.

Further behind was the Somos Más group, which responds to the organization of Peronist national senator Carolina Moises, who did not break the ground to enter the Legislature.
With a 63% turnout of the 598,408 registered voters, it was more difficult for the rest of the forces to reach the floor to enter the Legislature.
