Development and Coherence: The MID broke its alliance with the PRO and joined the rebel libertarians.

Due to strong discontent with the electoral agreement with La Libertad Avanza (LLA), the Movement for Integration and Development (MID) bloc of deputies broke away from the PRO and decided to form a new political space. The new bloc will include the participation of former libertarians from Coherencia , who broke away from LLA in August.
The new inter-bloc will be called "Development and Coherence " and will have six members: two from the MID and four from Coherence. The representatives from Development and Coherence will be Eduardo Falcone, and those from Coherence will be Carlos D'Alessandro, Lourdes Arrieta, Gerardo González, and Marcela Pagano . The president of the group will be Buenos Aires native Oscar Zago , who chaired the ruling party in 2024.
Likewise, the legislators informed the Speaker of the Lower House, Martín Menem , of their decision. With this move, the Chamber of Deputies is now composed of 17 blocs and 7 single-seat legislators. The main party in the chamber is Unión por la Patria , which has 98 members; followed by La Libertad Avanza, with 37. There are also two inter-seat legislators: Desarrollo y Coherencia (Development and Coherence) and LLA (The League of the Interior, ELI, and CREO), which, in addition to the ruling party, is composed of the Liga del Interior (Interior League, ELI, and CREO), totaling 44 legislators.
The MID's decision was fueled by recent differences with the PRO (Nationalist Party of the Democratic Revolution). On the one hand, the party founded by Mauricio Macri agreed to an electoral alliance with La Libertad Avanza to compete in the national legislative elections; in addition, the recent votes in the Chamber precipitated the crisis within the inter-bloc.
During the votes against President Javier Milei's veto of the pediatric emergency laws and the university budget, the MID (Ministry of Education) supported the opposition's call to insist on the laws, while the majority of the PRO (Project of Socialist Workers' Party) supported the ruling party. Meanwhile, the faction chaired by Cristian Ritondo was fractured during the same vote.
