"We have to end this punishment in October": Javier Milei supported José Luis Espert after the incidents in the Chamber of Deputies.

President Javier Milei addressed the controversial session of the Chamber of Deputies, which ended with a dispute between opposition and government legislators and the loss of the quorum that would allow the opposition to address important projects for their agendas.
" In October we can end this social punishment of good Argentinians called Kirchnerism ," Milei emphasized through his X account, also sharing other messages from his officials, such as Luis Caputo and Manuel Adorni . The president supported Libertarian deputy José Luis Espert , who was heckled by deputies from the Union for the Fatherland (UxP) party near the abrupt end of the session.
On Tuesday the 2nd, the Chamber of Deputies convened a special session to discuss various bills sponsored by the opposition, including a university funding law and the declaration of an emergency at the Garrahan Hospital due to a lack of funding. However, despite having achieved a quorum in the chamber, the lower house adjourned the session due to a clash between the Peronist and Libertarian deputies.

Union for the Homeland deputies blasted Espert, who also serves as chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee, and accused him of trying to block bills presented by the bloc. The other reason that drew criticism from their peers is the "hunt" Espert is leading against the militants who vandalized his home.
At the height of the conflict, Peronist representatives Florencia Carignano and Paula Penacca stood up and left the chamber, causing the session to be interrupted and eventually adjourned. Before leaving, Carignano lashed out at Espert, shouting, " You coward, you psychopath. You send the courts, you do something yourself. Don't send the police and a judge. You're a coward ."
After the session, Espert defended himself against what had happened and took to social media to say, "This is Kirchnerism." Libertarian representative Lilia Lemoine also supported her fellow party member and recalled the dispute she had with Carignano weeks earlier. "They attacked Espert because he's a man and can't defend himself. They know he'll escalate and rot with me. The three of them together can last me a round. I've said it before, left-wingers are cowards ," she emphasized.
