Updates for teacher health: Fomag announced the launch of its new network of service providers.

As of August 1, the National Fund for Social Benefits for Teachers (FOMAG) announced that it now has a new health network comprised of 2,104 Service Provider Institutions (IPS), distributed across 4,487 locations nationwide.
"Currently, there is a qualified registry of 3,234 IPSs offering services at 7,780 locations across the country, so the network could expand in the coming days," the fund said in a statement.
At the same time, the Fomag team indicated that it is currently finalizing operational details with the providers who have already expressed their willingness to join. However, they clarified that care for teachers and their families has been fully guaranteed since the start of the model.
According to Fomag, the network includes clinics, hospitals, laboratories, diagnostic centers, general practitioners, and specialists, which will allow for timely, high-quality care that is closer to the region.
"Members will be able to access services through a free-choice model, supported by a new official fee schedule that sets prices based on the complexity of the care, the quality of the provider, and the specific conditions of the region," the Fund explained.

Antioquia, Bogotá, and Valle del Cauca are the regions with the highest number of members, with 96,828, 95,811, and 55,182 users, respectively.
This new model was designed to eliminate intermediation, improve response times and allow real-time monitoring of services, with a user-centered approach that seeks to prioritize comprehensive, humanized care without access barriers, according to FOmag.
The complete list of authorized providers will be shared with interested parties through Fomag's internal channels and will soon be available on the official website: www.fomag.gov.co.
