ACM Awards 2025: Nicole Kidman Debuts New Hair After Met Gala
Nicole Kidman is tailoring her hair for every occasion.
Days after she stepped out to the 2025 Met Gala with a striking pixie cut featuring brunette roots flowing out from beneath golden tresses, the Oscar winner switched up her look again for the 2025 ACM Awards. (Click here to see all the celebrity arrivals.)
Sporting a long strawberry blonde 'do, Nicole joined her husband Keith Urban on red carpet at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on May 8. To let her new locks take the spotlight, the 57-year-old kept it simple in the wardrobe department, rocking a black leather top with matching pants and pointed flats.
Meanwhile, Keith—who was honored with the ACM Triple Crown Award at the ceremony—perfectly coordinated with her outfit in a black suit.
While Nicole has not spoken out about her latest hair change, her Met Gala hairstylist did recently share insight into why the Babygirl star went super short for fashion's biggest night, which was themed after the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” exhibit.
“The inspiration was a tailored short cut that brought out the essence of Dandyism on Nicole Kidman," Adir Abergel wrote on Instagram May 5. “I wanted to celebrate this years theme by honoring the Dandies and their individuality, elegance, and confidence—where every detail is tailored to that unique person.”
And Nicole's Met Gala look was certainly all about the details. As she told Vogue at the event, “I just wanted something very tailor-made for me."
"It's lovely to celebrate fashion and couture and tailoring," the Big Little Lies actress continued, "because there's all the people behind the scenes who do all that beautiful work. And when you really look at this theme, dandy is all about where you take a black suit and put a beautiful, different button or something where it's completely individual and made for you, which I love.”
