Mental health will have a forum in Villavicencio

To open a front-row space for you to talk about mental health with experts who will help break stigmas and learn about suitable and appropriate access and services, EL TIEMPO, Llano Siete Días, and the firms Belisario SAS and the Renovar Clinic will hold the forum 'Mental Health, It's Time to Talk' at the Potenza Business and Enterprise Center in Villavicencio tomorrow, starting at 7:30 a.m.
The forum will address everything from the current mental health landscape in the Eastern Plains region and ongoing institutional actions to the challenges of the workplace, the impact of technology and nutrition on young people's school life, and the link between mental health and legal protection.

The opening ceremony will be led by Belisario SAS, a firm of lawyers and consultants specializing in labor law and occupational health and safety (OHS). Belisario Velásquez, its president and founder, will give a presentation on psychosocial risk management, the challenges facing employers in the face of mental health, and new approaches to prevention.
The forum's first panel, moderated by Ernesto Cortés, editor-in-chief of EL TIEMPO, will provide an overview of the region and what is being done to address the issue. The panel will feature academic panelists and representatives from the Meta region's Ministries of Health and Education. The presentation "Mental Health and Legal Protection" will be led by Clara Inés López Dávila, president of the Labor Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice, and Rosario Lozano Peña, from the Renovar Clinic.
The second panel will be hosted by Aura Saavedra, editor of Digital and Premium Content at EL TIEMPO, and will focus on listening to young people and seeking joint work proposals.
Guest panelists will include young influencer and entrepreneur Juliana Pinzón, Iván Palomino, the Deputy Ombudsman for the Good Future of Youth and the Protection of the Right to Sport at the Ombudsman's Office, and Olga Lucía Velásquez, House Representative (author of the new mental health law).
Also noteworthy is the video participation of neurosurgeon William Omar Contreras López, who led the surgical intervention to treat Lorena Rodríguez Moreno's mixed anxiety disorder, the first Colombian woman to undergo this procedure.
EL TIEMPO.com will be broadcasting the photo live on its social media channels.
