LISTED: All the school holidays in Spain for the 2025/2026 academic year

The public holidays which all schools in all Spanish regions have off are:
October 12th – the National Holiday of Spain, which has been moved to the 13th for 2025
November 1st – All Saints' Day
December 6th – Constitution Day
December 8th – Feast of the Immaculate Conception
January 1st – New Year's Day
January 6th – Epiphany
April 18th – Good Friday
May 1st – Labour Day

Andalusia
The school year in Andalusia will begin on September 10th for primary education and the 15th for secondary schools. The school year will officially end on June 22nd, 2026 for all.
Extra holidays include:
- February 28th – Andalusia Day
- November 3rd
- January 7th
- March 2nd – Day of the Educational Community
The Christmas holidays will be from December 23rd to January 6th, while the Easter holidays will take place from March 30th to April 5th.
Aragón
The school year starts on September 8th, 2025, while high school students will start classes two days later, on September 10th. It runs until June 19th 2026.
Extra holidays include:
- April 23rd – El Día de Aragón
The Christmas holidays will run from December 19th to January 6th, inclusive, and Easter will run from March 30th to April 6th, 2026.
Asturias
In Asturias, the school year will begin on September 9th, 2025, and end on June 19th, 2026.
Extra holidays include:
- February 13th, 16th & 17th – Semana Blanca de Carnaval
- 4th May – Puente
The Christmas holidays will be from December 22nd, 2025, to January 7th, 2026, and the Easter holidays will be from March 30th, to April 5th, 2026.
Balearic Islands
In the Balearic Islands, the school year will begin on September 10th for all students except vocational training. It will end on June 19th 2026.
Extra holidays include
The Christmas holidays will run from December 22nd, 2025, to January 6th, 2026, and the Easter holidays will run from April 2nd to 12th.
Basque Country
In the Basque Country, schools will begin between September 3rd and 5th, 2025, depending on the education level. It will end no later than June 19th, 2026.
The Christmas holidays will run from December 24th, 2025, to January 6th, 2026. The Easter holidays will run from April 2nd to 6th, 2026.
Canary Islands
Students will begin classes on September 9th, 2025, and finish on June 19th, 2026.
Extra days include:
- September 1st, 2025 – General teaching holiday
- September 15th – Lanzarote and La Graciosa
- September 19th – Fuerteventura
- October 6th – La Gomera
The Christmas holidays will be from December 22nd, 2025, to January 7th, 2026, and the Easter holidays will be from March 30th, 2026, to April 6th, 2026.
Cantabria
School starts on September 8th for most students and will end on June 23rd.
Extra holidays include:
- October 27-31 – Autumn Week
- February 23-27, 2026 – Semana Blanca
The Christmas holidays will run from December 22nd, 2025, to January 7th, 2026, and Easter will run from March 30th to April 6th, 2026.
Castilla-La Mancha
Students will begin on September 8th, 2025, and finish on June 17th, 2026.
Extra holidays include:
- November 14th - Teachers’ Day
- January 7th
- February 16th and 17th, 2026 – Carnival
- May 31st – Día de Castilla-La Mancha
- June 4th – Corpus Christi
The Christmas holidays will be celebrated from December 22nd, 2025, to January 7th, 2026, and Easter from March 30th to April 6th, 2026.
Castilla y León
The school year begins on September 8th, 2025, most will end on June 24th 2026.
Extra days include:
- October 31st – Teachers’ Day
- February 16th & 17th – Carnival
- April 24th – Día de Castilla y León
The Christmas holidays will be from December 22nd, 2025, to January 7th, 2026, and Easter will be from March 27th to April 6th, 2026.
Catalonia
Most students will begin on September 8th and finish on June 19th 2026.
Extra holidays include:
- September 11th – La Diada
The Christmas holiday period will run from December 22nd, 2025, to January 7th, 2026, and Easter is from March 30th to April 6th, 2026.
Extremadura
Students will begin classes on September 11th, 2025, and finish them on June 19th, 2026. Those in the first year of high school will start on September 12th and end on June 18th, 2026, while the second year will end on May 8th, 2026.
Extra holidays include:
- September 8th, 2025 – Día de Extremadura Day
- November 27th and 28th, 2025 – Teachers' Day and the Friday after
- February 16th and 17th, 2026 – Carnival
The Christmas holidays will run from December 22nd, 2025, to January 7th, 2026, and Easter holidays will be from March 30th to April 6th, 2026.
Galicia
Classes for most will begin on September 8th, 2025 and will end on June 19th, 2026.
Extra holidays include:
- October 31st – Teachers' Day
- November 3rd – transfer of All Saints' Day
La Rioja
Schools will begin classes on September 9th, 2025, and finish them on June 22nd, 2026.
Extra holidays include:
- February 27th, 2026 – Educational Community Day
- June 8th & 9th, 2026 – Día de La Rioja
The Christmas holidays will begin on December 22nd, 2025, and end on January 7th, 2026. Easter will be from March 30th to April 6th, 2026.
Madrid
Classes will begin for most on September 8th, 2025, but high school will be on September 9th, 2025. The school year will end on June 19th, 2026.
Extra holidays include:
- October 13th
- November 3rd
- November 10th – La Almudena
- March 27th
- May 15th – San Isidro
Christmas holidays will run from December 22nd, 2025, to January 7th, 2026. There will be no classes during Easter from March 27th to April 6th, 2026.
Murcia
The school year in Murcia will start on September 8th for those in primary eduction and on September 11th for those in higher eduction. It will end on June 22nd for most.
Extra holidays include:
- December 23rd, 2025
- June 8th, 2026
The Christmas holidays in Murcia will be held from December 24th, 2025, to January 6th, 2026. The Easter holidays will be held from March 30th, 2026, to April 6th, 2026.
Navarre
The school year will begin between September 5th and 9th, 2025, depending on the educational level.
Extra holidays include:
- December 3rd – Día de Navarre
The Christmas holidays will run from December 24th, 2025, to January 6th, 2026, and the Easter holidays will run from April 2nd to 6th, 2026.
