Health alert in Colombia: What bacteria does the shampoo they ordered recalled contain, and why is it dangerous?
Henkel Colombia has decided to voluntarily recall 120 units of its Totale shampoo , from the Tec Italy brand, due to possible contamination with the Klebsiella oxytoca bacteria, identified during internal microbiological analysis.

The identified product is a green plastic bottle manufactured by Henkel Capital SA. Batch number 1G27542266 is printed on one side of the container. Its European Article Number (EAN) is 7501438375850.

According to Invima, if you are using the aforementioned product, please take into account the following recommendations issued by the health authority:
- Discontinue use immediately, as this may pose a health risk.
- If you know of establishments where this product is still distributed or marketed, immediately inform Invima or your local health authorities.
- If you experience any adverse reactions or unexpected effects after use, please report them through the official Invima website so they can be recorded and evaluated by the relevant authorities.

- Carry out inspection, surveillance, and control (IVC) actions in establishments under its jurisdiction where there may be a risk of use, storage, distribution, or marketing of Tec Italy Totale shampoo, the subject of this health alert.
- Check whether the aforementioned product is present and, if so, apply the relevant sanitary measures in accordance with current regulations.
- Immediately report any findings related to the contaminated product to Invima, in order to facilitate its monitoring and control at the national level.
