The Ministry of Welfare , through the Welfare Bank, created a savings option to address unforeseen events and manage expenses.

The bank savings account, Cuentahorro , according to Banco del Bienestar , has the following characteristics:

• Which can be opened with a minimum amount of 50 pesos
• Minimum average monthly balance of 50 pesos to generate returns
• Generates returns on the amount saved according to the rates published in the Actions and Programs section "Monthly rates for the Bank's products"
• You have daily availability of resources from the Bienestar card in any of the 3,149 branches of Banco del Bienestar and it helps to generate a savings history, to be a credit prospect.

Have the following documents for individuals:

• Valid official identification (voter's card with photo -INE-, driver's license, passport, national military service card, professional ID)
• Proof of address no older than three months (property, telephone or electricity bill)
• CURP
• Tax identification card issued by the Secretariat, when the Client has one, and the serial number of the Advanced Electronic Signature (only if the client states that they are under the business activity tax regime; this document is essential for opening the account)

For legal entities, the following documents are required:

• Testimony or certified copy of the articles of incorporation registered in the corresponding Public Registry and a simple copy for preservation
• Tax identification card issued by the Secretariat and the serial number of the Advanced Electronic Signature
• Proof of address
• Notarial testimony or certified copy of the instrument where the powers of the legal representative(s) are recorded
• Official identification and proof of address of the legal representative(s)

• Sign the debit card upon receipt
• Memorize the Personal Identification Number (PIN) assigned to the card and never share it.
• For security reasons, carry your debit card only when you are going to use it.
• When making payments with your card, make sure it is swiped through the electronic terminal only once (if there is an error when purchasing or paying for a product or service, request the cancellation slip displayed on the electronic terminal).
• Download the Banco del Bienestar Mobile app where you can check your balance and transactions to better manage your money.
• In case of theft or loss
• Report the incident immediately by calling 800 900 2000 to prevent misuse. To replace a lost or stolen debit card, visit your nearest Banco del Bienestar branch.
