Raúl de Frutos and Fernando Martín are two entrepreneurs from Granada who, in 2020, fulfilled their dream and created Víver, a company specializing in the production and distribution of natural fermented beverages. With the aim of "improving the quality of our food," they arrived in the United States in 2019 to create "the most authentic kombucha in the Spanish market." Today, the Spanish company Víver is present with its eponymous brand, Víver Kombucha, in more than 4,000 points of sale throughout Spain, spread across all the country's department stores, as well as in hotels such as NH, after being selected as a premium brand for its five-star hotel, and in Spanish airports by WH Smith.
Constantly evolving , Víver Living Drinks has now launched Kéfrutas, the first fruit kefir on the market, a natural lactose-free soft drink with natural probiotics and healthy acids, no alcohol, no added sugar, 100% natural ingredients, and authentic fermentation. It's an innovative drink, say De Frutos and Martín, that "combines all the properties of kefir and all the flavor of fruit" and "provides much more than just hydration for both athletes and the more sedentary, regardless of age."
Unlike milk kefir, Kéfrutas is fermented exclusively with fruit juice, making it 100% lactose-free. Water kefir originated in Mexico, where its probiotic cultures have been used for generations. Initially, water kefir became popular in several countries as a dairy-free fermented alternative.
