Some Spanish banks are launching into improved savings returns in order to attract customers from larger institutions, which are more reluctant to offer attractive returns on deposits. The latest is EBN Banco , which has increased the return on its 6-month deposits to 2.10% APR (2.08% NIR). It has also increased the return on its 36-month deposits to 2.25% APR (2.23% NIR) and 42-month deposits to 2.35% APR (2.33% NIR).
The bank maintains the current interest rates on deposits for 3-, 12-, and 24-month terms . The 12-month term offers a yield of 1.80% APR (1.79% NIR).
For conservative savers, EBN Banco offers other products that combine fixed-term deposits with investments , such as the EBN Banco Combined Deposit, which offers a 12-month yield of 2.85% APR (2.82% NIR). This deposit combines subscriptions to fixed-term deposits with EBN Banco investment products, whether by investing in the fund supermarket, opening a Wealth Management Portfolio, or contracting a guaranteed Structured Note.
"In May 2018, EBN Banco broke new ground with Sinycon deposits, offering one of the highest fixed-term yields on the market. Since then, one of the bank's goals has been to prioritize its customers by offering them deposits with some of the best conditions ," explains Manuel Puente Gascón, Director of Strategy at EBN Banco.
EBN Banco is a member of the Spanish Deposit Guarantee Fund for Credit Institutions , and its clients enjoy the support of a banking institution with more than 30 years of experience in the financial markets.
