A few days ago, a TikTok user posted a video from his personal account, exposing a TransMilenio public service passenger who was eating inside a bus.

In the recording, a young woman can be seen holding a tamale with her legs , while trying to bring several spoonfuls of food to her mouth, despite the movement of the vehicle.

Despite the fact that the bus was full and several people were standing, the woman seemed completely unconcerned about the discomfort she might cause those next to her.

Although the clip lasts only a few seconds, some Internet users' reactions on social media were quick to emerge, sparking a debate about what can and cannot be done on TransMilenio.

“Many people don't know that there are people who don't have time for breakfast because of work, so they take advantage of any living space they have,” commented one TikTok user.

Other followers, meanwhile, expressed their annoyance at the awkward scene. "I honestly don't understand those who defend and victimize this woman. How disrespectful that is," one woman added in the video.

According to the Bogotá public transportation system website, eating food on TransMilenio buses or stations is considered a violation and can result in a fine.

According to the service, this is a type 1 violation, equivalent to four times the current daily minimum wage. This means that users who violate this rule must pay a fine of 109,447 Colombian pesos .

This measure is specified in the National Code of Security and Citizen Coexistence, specifically in Article 146, which establishes that practices that may seem harmless actually undermine the cleanliness of the system.

Furthermore, this behavior is explicitly prohibited in the TransMilenio user manual , and the justification is based on the inconvenience it can cause to other travelers during the journey.
