Three members of the Hidalgo Attorney General's Office and a lawyer were shot during an inspection.

PACHUCA, Hgo. (apro).- Three members of the Attorney General's Office of the State of Hidalgo (PGJEH) and a private defender were injured after a shooting during an inspection in the El Cid neighborhood, in the municipality of Tizayuca, Hidalgo.

Following a response operation, five people were arrested by investigative police, also affiliated with the PGJEH. The detainees will be brought before the Public Prosecutor's Office for an initial hearing to be charged and a request for their inclusion in the case.

According to the preliminary report, the attackers were traveling in several vehicles when they opened fire on the officers, who were on a property as part of the investigation.

The Attorney General's Office confirmed that the injured are two men, investigators, and an expert, as well as a private attorney who serves as legal advisor on the case from which the ministerial inspection arose.

The PGJEH also announced that the alleged perpetrators were seized two shotgun-type firearms.

One week, two attacks

On July 5, while notifying a victim of a protective measure, two Investigative Police officers assigned to the Women's Justice Center were attacked in the La Loma neighborhood of Pachuca.

The rescuers didn't come until the following day. By then, one was dead, and his companion was admitted to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died from internal injuries.

Four people were arrested as a result of the incident, members of the El Angelito Negro 666 sect.

The family of the officer who had been rescued alive requested an investigation into the possible failure of the commanders to act promptly to report the missing officers (this was not done after the night roll call, suggesting they had not returned from the assignment given to them by their commander, who was removed from her post following the deaths).

A supervisory judge ordered the four detainees into pretrial detention on July 8, following the initial hearing in which they were charged with aggravated kidnapping, drug dealing, and possession of ammunition for the exclusive use of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
