Colombian actress Lorna Cepeda , known for her role as Patricia Fernández in Yo soy Betty, la fea, revealed details of her skin cancer diagnosis in 2016 and how she dealt with the condition.
Speaking with the entertainment program 'La Red,' the 'tiny-haired' woman revealed that she had a mole on her back, in a part she couldn't see or touch. "I never felt it," she said.
Cepeda learned about it in June 2016, when a coworker noticed something bleeding from her back . The woman ignored it, thinking it was a mosquito bite.
Months later, in November of the same year, she was changing clothes and her children's nanny told her there was something "horrible on my back." She took a photo, and the actress was shocked to see it.

"It was disgusting, like a mole that was already very prominent, and it bled and bled and bled. I still thought it could be a wart," said Lorna Cepeda.
Despite believing it might be harmless, the actress went to the dermatologist. At the appointment, the specialist was concerned about the condition of the mole and told her she should remove it as soon as possible to perform a biopsy.
The results were unfavorable, and Lorna Cepeda was diagnosed with skin cancer . Despite everything, the actress revealed that her faith was key to moving forward.

"I had a little Virgin Mary of the Miraculous Virgin, and I told her: 'My God, I give this to you. Make the decision you have to make. If you leave me here, please heal me,'" Cepeda said.
She attended appointments with the oncologist and later explained that one day she was at home when she felt a powerful presence. The actress said she felt a healing hand, and shortly afterward, she underwent surgery, which was successful.
