Dua Lipa's total nightclub ecstasy

It's a cold Sunday in May, year 1 of the Apocalypse. Dua Lipa arrives in Madrid with a new album under her belt, 'Radical Optimism', and a total spectacle, the kind that exists, at least in part, thanks to Michael Jackson .
There are phone calls, a multi-story stage, a dozen dancers, and an artist ("Dua, Dua!" shouts the crowd beforehand) who charismatically leads the party.
It kicks off with "Training Session," more minimalist than what follows. "End of an Era" follows, more dance-oriented, and the audience, with a large Anglo-Saxon crowd in the stands, quickly goes wild.
Dua Lipa is accompanied, in addition to the dance troupe, by six brilliant musicians. I notice one of them, hidden among keyboards, laptops, and cables. Throughout the concert, he plays the violin, guitar, tambourine, percussion, keyboard, vocals... he displays himself anonymously, like one of those little heroes always lurking behind the protagonist (Samsagaz Gamgee?).
"Levitating" is the best of the opening tracks and a good example of the funk/disco hybrid that permeates the British singer's music. The songs are timeless in style; we could be in an '80s disco or the early 2000s. Rhythmic and fun, they all manage to reach the core, and despite the language barrier, my fellow members of the audience sing along to them all.
The dancers then disappear and Dua Lipa strolls through the audience while the band moves to the center stage for a closer, unplugged set.
From there we hear 'These Walls' , 'Héroe' by Enrique Iglesias , where Dua Lipa sings in Spanish to the delight of the audience, and 'Maria' , the best composition of the night for this humble chronicler.
After the umpteenth break and costume change (the only "but" of the concert, sometimes these breaks seem a bit long), she returns dressed as a bride on a big day and 'Falling Forever' plays, a pop classic that could be from any era.
One of the least applauded songs is "Happy for You," perhaps because the algorithm doesn't care much for it. I think it's one of the best songs of the concert: exciting, fun, dynamic, and with a guitar solo.
"Love Again" plays and Dua Lipa, standing on a moving platform, flies across the Movistar Arena. The flames are rising around her, and she's singing, wrapped in a white mink coat, just as I can smell the end.
With the latest prop change comes 'New Rules' , a reggaeton, 'Dance the night', which was a hit thanks to Barbie and Margot Robbie , and 'Don't start now'.
The party is in full swing on the dance floor when the band leaves before the encore. We all know they're coming back, and when they do, their biggest hit, "Houdini," plays.
He finishes the concert in total ecstasy , and my fellow spectators are close to having a heart attack. I'd tell them to calm down, but why? There's only one life, and honestly, I'm almost envious.
