Cristo Redentor Pass is open to all types of vehicles, but caution is urged: the reasons

The Mendoza government issued a warning for low visibility, fog formation, and icy conditions on the route to the pass.

National GendarmerieThis Sunday, July 13th , during the winter holidays, the Cristo Redentor International Pass is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for all types of vehicles. According to the latest report, no delays have been reported during customs clearance, but caution is advised.
"Users are advised that on July 13, the International Pass is open to all types of vehicles in both directions from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.," authorities announced.
They also recommend checking the status of the Pass on their official website before traveling. Carrying chains is mandatory .

At the same time, at 7 a.m. the Mendoza Government issued a warning to those climbing toward the Pass due to low visibility, the formation of fog banks, and morning frost in some areas .
