A woman selling cheap tickets to Europe left hundreds of people unable to fly.

They suspect a scam. The victims targeted "Karyna," who sold tickets with a supposed promotional code and then lost contact with her customers.
Several travelers headed to Spain and other European destinations discovered they didn't have valid tickets when they boarded their flights . The case came to light after those affected became aware of their situation in recent days.
The suspects targeted a woman they identified as "Karyna." The suspects are suspected of being a scam , involving an operation that some compare to a Ponzi scheme involving flight sales.
Although many trips were completed, everything has changed recently. One of the victims told La Nación that the saleswoman justified the chaotic situation by referring to an air traffic controller strike scheduled for July 11 (later suspended due to compulsory conciliation).

In her defense, the woman reportedly stated that the promotional code that granted her access to lower fares had been disabled for flights departing from Argentina . As an alternative, Karyna suggested the buyers travel to Brazil on their own and connect from there to Europe, since—she claimed—the code was still valid for flights from that country.
According to reports, most of the tickets were for flights with Iberia . The company was unaware of the issue, which was reported online, and is investigating it internally.
While some passengers managed to complete the trip, assuming the additional cost of the leg to Brazil that was never reimbursed, others were unable to fly and ended up losing the money they had invested. In the midst of the conflict, Karyna stopped responding to messages and calls from those affected .
The case reached the courtsThe tickets—which cost around US$1,100 for economy class and US$2,500 for business class—were paid for in cash at Karyna's home. Tickets were issued, in the best of cases, the day before departure .
There is already a complaint . File No. 36862/2025 is filed with the 57th National Criminal and Correctional Court, with the 58th National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office involved. According to judicial sources confirmed to La Nación, there are multiple victims .
