Young man dies from multiple stab wounds after arguing with his girlfriend, who is a suspect

A shocking crime has shaken Cochabamba, Bolivia: 29-year-old Jairo Retamozo was stabbed to death. The prime suspect is his 28-year-old girlfriend, who was found with stab wounds at the same location.

On Friday morning, June 20, area residents heard a loud fight and found Jairo covered in blood in the hallway.

Paramedics confirmed his death and notified the Felcc (National Police ). Upon arrival, police found his girlfriend inside the apartment with injuries. She was taken to the intensive care unit at Viedma Hospital and is under police guard.

Álvaro García, a relative of Jairo, stated that the latter suffered a fatal injury to his jugular artery. The Felcc is investigating the case and is waiting for the prime suspect to recover before taking her statement.

The relatives of Luz Román, who was Jairo Retamozo's partner before his death, have decided to speak publicly to demand "respect and truth." Luz is in serious condition at Viedma Hospital, where she is sedated and in intensive care, after being found with more than 34 stab wounds, including one that perforated her intestine.

Luz's mother and cousin strongly urge people not to jump to conclusions without being fully informed about all the details of the case, emphasizing Luz's virtues.

Authorities have indicated that Luz is the only essential witness; however, her delicate health prevents her from testifying, which is causing intense debate in society.
