The Civil Guard has arrested two people for their alleged involvement in the shooting that left three Colombians dead in an area of El Saler (Valencia) in February 2024, Civil Guard sources confirmed to EFE.
One of the individuals has been arrested as the perpetrator and another as the instigator , and the arrests have taken place in Madrid and Pamplona, according to these sources, who added that the investigation is still ongoing.
The Civil Guard discovered the bodies next to a car at around 9:45 p.m. on February 27, 2024, next to a Volkswagen Passat in the Gola de Pujol area.
The Civil Guard has begun working in coordination with Colombian police authorities to investigate the shooting deaths of the three Colombian men.

The Government delegate in the Valencian Community , Pilar Bernabé, then reported that "all possible information was available through a woman who is the main witness" in the investigation led by the Civil Guard's Homicide Group.
A court declared the investigation into what could be a drug-related settling of scores secret , sources close to the investigation told EFE at the time. One of the deceased was a well-known Colombian drug trafficker belonging to the Vega clan, according to his surname, and another could be his brother, although their identities could not be officially confirmed at the time due to a lack of fingerprints for matching.
The shooting, according to the same sources, could be the result of a settling of scores between clans, as the drug trafficker who was shot dead may have been responsible for another rival group, and the father of the brothers who were shot was also killed in Colombia during this bloody dispute. The other deceased may not have been linked to any criminal activity.
