Quality certification for 13 FACPYA study programs

The Faculty of Public Accounting and Administration (FACPYA) of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL) reaccredited five of its programs on August 29 and added eight more following evaluation by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
The event took place in the institution's CP Gumersindo Cantú Hinojosa Auditorium, attended by Rector Santos Guzmán López, who was accompanied by Jeffrey Alderman, president and CEO of ACBSP, and Wilfredo Ambrosio Giraldo Mejía, director of operations for Latin America at ACBSP.
With a forward-looking approach and a strategic vision to ensure the quality of the UANL and FACPYA programs, the challenge of international reaccreditation by the ACBSP of five accredited programs and the inclusion of eight new evaluable programs (with at least two graduating classes) began in 2024.
Finally, in February 2025, the self-study was submitted to the ACBSP, which granted reaccreditation to four bachelor's programs and one doctoral program, as well as the accreditation of eight master's programs.
Guzmán López acknowledged the tremendous effort made by the entire administrative and teaching team to achieve the recognition that will be reflected in the diplomas of its graduates, thereby contributing to the University's social responsibility.
“Reaching this day requires a lot of effort and dedication. Therefore, I greatly value the work of the collegiate bodies that fulfilled each of the responsibilities entailed in the evaluation process. The delivery of this document certifies that we are on the right path,” said Santos Guzmán López, Rector of the UANL.
Wilfredo Ambrosio Giraldo Mejía, Director of Operations for Latin America at ACBSP, shared with attendees that ACBSP has a presence in 60 countries, working with more than 1,100 institutions worldwide.
