The distinctive touch of the second leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour is that Shakira has had special guests at some shows, but Guadalajara didn't get to experience that.
However, the 35,000 attendees at the first of their two concerts scheduled this weekend at the Akron Stadium needed nothing more than their queen "Loba" singing the best of her repertoire to enjoy, fulfill dreams and celebrate.
This is what happened with Felipe and Paul. On the occasion of their second wedding anniversary, the couple had the pleasure of seeing the Colombian singer in person for the first time.
Shakira began the show at 9:18 p.m. with "La Fuerte" and "Girl Like My," although the latter was scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
"Good evening! My God, you have no idea how wonderful it is to see you again. This is our third concert of this tour here in Guadalajara," he said in greeting.
Hours before the show, around 6:00 p.m., a storm hit the Akron Stadium area as hundreds of people were just arriving.
Once the show had begun and it was raining, the stadium showcased looks inspired by the Colombian singer's different stages of her career, such as purple wigs, alluding to the hair she wore in the video for "Las de la Intuición," a song that was a staple in the repertoire last night.
Shakira surprised the audience with "Sombras Nada Más" by Javier Solís , set to the sound of Mariachi, a classic favorite of her father's, the singer said.
He will perform again this Sunday at Akron Stadium , where, according to OCESA, he will once again sell out.
