One of the most famous beaches on Samos is Potami Beach on the northwest coast of the island. This is due to its setting: This stretch of coast is characterized by a wild cliff landscape and dense coniferous forests. Therefore, the hilly landscapes surrounding the beach are also worth exploring. Above the beach lies the Chapel of Agios Nikolaos, a popular photo opportunity.

Potami Beach is located near the port town of Karlovasi, but is a pristine beach. There are only sun lounger rentals and a small tavern on site. Bars, cafes, and taverns are located nearby. A special feature are the shiny pebbles, which allow you to quickly enter the deep, clear water.

On the north coast of Samos lies Kokkari, one of the island's most important tourist resorts. Around 1,000 people live here, but the number is several more during peak season, when numerous vacationers stroll through the photogenic alleys lined with souvenir shops, beach bars, and taverns.

The beach area of the former fishing village consists of long pebble beaches and small, idyllic coves. Fine pebbles and crushed shells meet the blue-green water. The landmark of Kokkari is the offshore boulder "Cavos" on the eastern waterfront promenade.

Named after the mathematician Pythagoras, who was born on the island, Pythagorio Beach is the island's longest beach. Stretching over 4.5 kilometers, it has been awarded the Blue Flag. Here, fine pebbles, sand, pine trees, and the sea meet.

Pythagorio Beach offers everything you need for a holiday: several beach bars and water sports such as water skiing, wakeboarding and windsurfing, as well as kayaks and pedal boats for hire.
