Lifestyle long-stay brand: NUMA Group expands in Great Britain

Thanks to an acquisition in 2024, the still young NUMA Group in the United Kingdom can quickly expand its locations in London and Edinburgh.
The Berlin-based hospitality platform NUMA Group has expanded its still manageable portfolio in the UK by three properties. A hostel in London and two further properties in Edinburgh demonstrate the company's ambition to quickly establish a presence in relevant British locations. All three properties are managed under the "Native by Numa" brand. The name refers to NUMA's acquisition of the British serviced apartment brand Native Places last year.
Expansion and acquisitionAll three properties enjoy attractive and central locations. The new London NUMA property on Margaret Street is the renovation of a former convent. Thirty new units will be created in the listed building. Located in the heart of the West End, the property offers guests easy access to the shopping districts of Oxford Street and Regent Street, as well as the business districts of Mayfair and Fitzrovia. The new Native by Numa hotel utilizes NUMA's signature AI-powered technology, enabling a completely digital experience from booking through check-in to check-out.
Attractive locations preferredIn Edinburgh, NUMA is expanding its presence with two new properties with partner HUB (London). The first project, at 23 Water Street in Leith, offers 45 units in the city's gentrified waterfront district. NUMA guests will be close to the Royal Yacht Britannia, the Shore nightlife district, and the picturesque Water of Leith Walkway. The second property, at 11-15 Thistle Street, offers 72 units in Edinburgh's New Town. The location is also prime due to its proximity to historic St. Andrew Square, the Princes Street shopping area, and the modern St. James Quarter.
With this expansion, NUMA is establishing itself as a leader in the European serviced apartment market. Founded only in 2019, the company currently operates in 15 countries and 37 cities with approximately 9,000 units. In the UK, major cities such as Manchester, Bristol, Belfast, and Glasgow are particularly high on its wish list.
