With one goal in the quarter-finals: Real narrowly beats Juventus

German national soccer player Antonio Rüdiger is in the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup with Real Madrid. The Spanish favorites beat Juventus Turin 1-0 (0-0) in Miami. The winning goal for former Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso's team was scored by 21-year-old Gonzalo García after a cross from new signing Trent Alexander-Arnold (54'). Defender Rüdiger was in the starting lineup and played the full game.
In the seventh minute, former Frankfurt player Kolo Muani squandered a lob to give the Italian record champions the lead, who had already lost their last group match against Manchester City 5-2. At the other end, Turin goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio saved from Jude Bellingham after half an hour.
His teammate, French star striker Kylian Mbappé, was in the Madrid squad for the first time at this tournament after recovering from gastroenteritis and a brief hospital stay. He came on as a substitute for the goalscorer in the 68th minute.
