Two spectators died at the ATP Finals in Turin

Turin. Two deaths occurred on Monday around the ATP Finals tennis tournament in Turin, according to media reports. As reported by the Italian news agency Adnkronos, among others, a 78-year-old man collapsed in the stands during the match between American Taylor Fritz and Italian Lorenzo Musetti. The man was taken to the hospital by ambulance but died shortly after arrival.
Shortly before, a similar incident occurred at the fan festival of the event in Turin. A 70-year-old man collapsed, was taken to hospital with life-threatening symptoms, and died there shortly after his admission from cardiac arrest.
The organizers were asked for a statement. The ATP Finals, featuring the best tennis players of the year, have been taking place at the Inalpi Arena since last Sunday. Hamburg's Alexander Zverev is also competing.
