Schwartz will probably be allowed to continue - Juric has to go

Relegated second-division side Ulm is reacting to its poor run of form by parting ways with both managing director Markus Thiele and coach Moritz Glasbrenner. After Christian Ortag and defender Johannes Reichert appealed to the supervisory board for help, further talks took place on Monday. No agreement was reached, or as the third-division club put it: "The necessary unity and mutual trust for a successful sporting future could not be achieved."

Jovan Milosevic's loan contract with Partizan Belgrade expires at the end of December, at which point the 20-year-old would have to return to VfB Stuttgart. However, the Serbian club is determined to keep the striker and is prepared to "do everything" to make it happen, as sporting director Predrag Mijatovic confirmed on the "2x45" podcast. "We are open to any kind of agreement, as long as Milosevic comes to us," said the 56-year-old, emphasizing that he believes they will reach an agreement with the Swabian club. "We believe we will be successful."

Things aren't going well at all for 1. FC Saarbrücken at the moment. They haven't won a single game in their last seven league matches, managing only four points. Things could be getting tight for coach Alois Schwartz. However, it seems that's not the end of the story just yet, as the "Saarbrücker Zeitung," citing "sources close to the club," reports that the 58-year-old is set to stay on. For the coach and his team, the international break is now upon them before they resume play on November 23rd with an away match against 1860 Munich.

After just 15 games, Atalanta Bergamo has parted ways with coach Ivan Juric. The 50-year-old Croatian took over the reins from Gian Pierro Gasparini in the summer, who had won the Europa League, among other titles, during his nine years at Atalanta. Juric was not destined for similar success; after only four competitive wins, he has already been dismissed. This is the coach's third dismissal within a year, following his early departures from AS Roma and Southampton.

Following the victory in the Rhine derby, nothing stands in the way of Eugen Polanski's promotion from interim to head coach of Borussia Mönchengladbach. As sporting director Rouven Schröder explained after the 3-1 win, things are "looking good" for the 39-year-old's promotion. "Now comes the international break, so we'll have plenty of time to talk."

Following the 1-2 defeat in Bremen, Paul Simonis is on the verge of being sacked by VfL Wolfsburg. Who could succeed the coach, who only took over in the summer? There is evidence of talk of former Union Berlin manager Urs Fischer, who has been without a job since leaving Berlin in November 2023 and is certainly capable of stabilizing a team. Tim Walter's name – dismissed by Hull City in November 2024 – has also reportedly been mentioned.

Following their late 1-2 defeat against 1. FSV Mainz 05, AC Fiorentina have presented their new coach. As expected, Paolo Vanoli takes over the Violets, who parted ways with Stefano Pioli on Tuesday after ten winless matches in Serie A, leaving them bottom of the table. The 53-year-old Vanoli was the coach of Torino until the summer.

As expected, Serie A club Genoa presented Daniele de Rossi as their new head coach on Thursday. The Roma legend takes over from Patrick Vieira, who was dismissed by the 18th-placed team in the Italian top flight last weekend. Interim coach Domenico Criscito subsequently secured the first win of the season. The 42-year-old de Rossi had succeeded José Mourinho at Roma at the beginning of 2024, but the 2006 World Cup winner was dismissed eight months later.
