Racism in the DFB Cup: Pierluigi Collina praises German referees

Collina's message was the second response from FIFA headquarters following the incidents – but this time a much more lenient one. In an initial response, President Gianni Infantino had criticized the incidents and emphatically demanded that the DFB investigate them.

Infantino demanded consequences

The FIFA chief stated that they will "engage with the German Football Association (DFB) and continue to closely monitor these incidents." They are also "firmly committed to ensuring that players are respected and protected and that competition organizers and law enforcement authorities take appropriate action."
