Alexander Zverev: Training at the Nadal Academy

Tennis pro Alexander Zverev is trying new approaches after his recent disappointment: The world number three is currently training at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca. Both the tennis academy and Zverev himself posted corresponding photos on Instagram on Monday. According to a media report by Sky, Tony Nadal, the uncle and longtime coach of 22-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal , was present.
Alexander Zverev, 28, recently lost in the first round at Wimbledon and subsequently spoke openly about mental health issues. He announced a break of several weeks and also decided not to participate in the tournament in Gstaad as originally planned.
So far, Zverev has been coached by his father, Alexander Senior. In the past, he has occasionally brought in other coaches, including Sergi Bruguera, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Ivan Lendl, and David Ferrer. Whether he is aiming for a longer-term collaboration with Toni Nadal or the tennis academy is unknown—but Rafael Nadal has said something about Zverev's as yet unattained goal of winning a Grand Slam title: He believes it's "purely a mental thing." "Because if you look at his level of tennis, he should have won one by now," the exceptional former player Nadal told the French sports newspaper L'Équipe in May.
