This is how Bolt's new German boss wants to conquer the market – authorities are the key

Bolt is already the market leader in Nuremberg, and the Estonian mobility startup aims to become at least number two in other cities. Christoph Hahn, the new General Manager, will now drive this expansion – despite tough competition, strict regulations, and political debates about minimum pricing.
Bolt arranges rides via an app and works with fleet partners who operate commercial rental cars and employ the drivers. "We're a fleet market," says Hahn about the ride-hailing business model. Ride-hailing means not traditional taxis, but cars with drivers that can be booked flexibly – similar to Uber.
In an interview with Gründerszene, Hahn explains how Bolt plans to grow, which cities are exciting for this, and why close cooperation with authorities is crucial.
