Online puzzle: History lessons as a quiz

There's virtually nothing that doesn't exist on the web of webs: the ingenious, the curious, the nostalgic, and the lovingly purposeless. This time: history as a Wordle.
Last Sunday, I featured a game here that revolves around historical dates. Based on feedback, it was well-received by many readers. So today, I'm sharing a follow-up from a similar perspective.
If you enjoy "Wordle" and/or the game "Superbrain" and also have a penchant for historical contexts, then you should take a look at "Past Puzzle" at www.pastpuzzle.de. Tom Seidel's browser-based game combines number puzzles with historical knowledge – entertaining and concise. And even better: It's completely registration-free.
Every day, a new puzzle appears, asking you to guess a four-digit year. To solve this, you'll be presented with four consecutive rounds of events that occurred in the year you're looking for. Guess the correct year; after each guess, you'll receive Wordle-style feedback: Green indicates that a number is in the correct place; yellow means it appears in the year but in a different position—and red means it's not included.
After solving the puzzle, links appear that lead to further information – so you can learn something along the way. Those who want to know more or play more than just one game a day can unlock paid versions. This allows, for example, access to an archive of previous puzzles – or play as often as they like instead of just once a day.
Now our question: Which battle on the Mediterranean coast is commemorated by a rhyming mnemonic whose first three words are identical? Please send your answer to [email protected]. We're giving away a €25 e-book voucher. The deadline for entries is August 6, 9 p.m. The winner will be notified in writing. The answer to last week's puzzle was "Srcabble."
