METZEN Industries acquires Gerwin Silotechnik GmbH / Strengthening the material handling sector Hamburg (ots) - With the acquisition of Gerwin Silotechnik GmbH, METZEN Industries GmbH is specifically expanding its capacities in the material handling sector. Against the backdrop of increasing infrastructure investments in Europe, METZEN is strategically positioning itself for future growth - with increased technical know-how, local presence, and a high-performance production site in Beckum.

With the integration of GERWIN, METZEN is gaining additional expertise in the planning and manufacturing of bulk material handling systems – from conveyor technology to dust extraction and silo technology – and expanding its own range of solutions along the entire value chain. The Beckum site will not only be retained but also strengthened in the long term. GERWIN relies on innovative technologies with sustainable added value. Modern conveyor technology solutions make it possible to significantly reduce the use of heavy construction machinery. The result: lower fuel consumption and a measurable reduction in CO2 emissions.

"The demands on infrastructure projects are increasing – both technically and logistically. With GERWIN on our side, we can provide even more comprehensive support to our customers in the future, especially in the building materials and recycling sectors. Marcel Funk, Managing Director of Gerwin Silotechnik GmbH, will continue to lead the company and drive its development. As part of a management partnership, Mr. Funk will also become another shareholder in METZEN. His many years of experience in bulk materials technology – particularly in the lime, gypsum, and recycling industries – will ensure continuity and provide new impetus: "I see great opportunities in combining our engineering strengths with METZEN's infrastructure and project expertise. We want to actively shape the growing demand for future-proof material handling solutions – and Beckum will remain a central hub in this."
