Jeff Bezos vs. Elon Musk: Amazon launches first satellites for its own internet network

Kuiper is intended to enable internet connections in previously poorly served regions. However, the project by tech billionaire and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos (61) has been delayed. It is several years behind Starlink, which is in use in many countries in the Americas, as well as in Germany and other parts of Europe.
Amazon plans to launch a total of around 3,200 satellites into Earth's orbit. Satellite internet is expected to be available later this year. The company estimates the cost of the Kuiper project at $10 billion (approximately €8.8 billion).
