Dance at the Ruhrtriennale: How to feel alone as a couple

Anyone who wants to climb the career ladder should take ballet lessons: “Delay the Sadness” by Sharon Eyal premiered at the Ruhrtriennale in Bochum.
Between people who enjoy watching dance performances and those who would never consider it, there stands a Mount Everest of mutual incomprehension. Usually, this ends badly for dance : "I don't know anything about dance," say the non-goers, implying, "I'll never know anything about dance." Only in one of the best film scenes in which such a dialogue takes place does it end well for dance, even if it doesn't begin that way: "I don't understand what ballet is all about," says Harold Gunderson in the legal drama "Suits." "There are no words, no story, no action, just..." – and then, with a pathetic expression on his face, he attempts some iconic ballet poses.
