Jan Ullrich: Professional cyclist in hospital after collision with a car

Cycling legend Jan Ullrich (51) was injured in an accident and had to be hospitalized. According to Eurosport, citing his management , the former professional was hit by a car while training near his home. According to the report, Ullrich suffered a broken collarbone in the subsequent fall, as well as bruises and abrasions. Prior to the accident, he was denied right of way near his home.

Ullrich was originally scheduled to appear as a guest on the sports channel "Eurosport" on Saturday and Sunday, following the broadcasts of the stages of this year's Giro d'Italia, which started on Friday. Jan Ullrich is one of the greatest German cyclists of all time. In 1997, he became the only German to win the Tour de France. He also won the gold medal in the individual time trial at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and was twice world champion.
