Gut feeling: 3 signs that you have good intuition

Do you simply have a bad feeling about certain things, but can't quite put your finger on where it's coming from? Then you probably have very good intuition. Here are three signs that indicate this.
The job offer sounds almost perfect. The scope of work is exciting, the team seems friendly, the salary is right. But something just feels wrong. You can't put your finger on why, but you simply sense that this job isn't right for you (right now). Congratulations! You're obviously a very intuitive person! Because if we really listen to ourselves, we usually know whether a decision is the right one. Many people have simply forgotten how to do this.
These 3 things show that you have good intuition 1. Vivid DreamsOur dreams reveal a lot about us—especially on a subconscious level. While we sleep, our brain often processes things that we try to suppress while awake, or that we cannot (or cannot) see for other reasons. Our intuition forms a kind of bridge between our conscious and unconscious minds.
When people say they never dream, that's not true. We generally dream something every night, but many people can't remember it the next day. If you're one of those people who has particularly vivid dreams that feel very real, that indicates strong intuition.
2. You have a good sense of emotionsA good sense of emotions can also be a sign that you are very intuitive—both for your own and those of others. The prerequisite for developing a good gut feeling is, of course, that you are in good touch with your emotions and can classify them.
This sensitivity then also carries over into how you interact with other people. Good intuition and empathy often go hand in hand. Do you quickly get a good sense of the mood of a person or group – even without anyone saying anything? Then you intuitively sense what vibes are currently in the room and what other moods and sensitivities might play a role.

Do seemingly random thoughts and answers sometimes suddenly pop into your head that you couldn't possibly know? This has nothing to do with hocus-pocus, but simply with the fact that your intuition is very strong and makes itself known with such promptings.
This could be a situation like the job offer at the beginning of this text: You have no rational explanation for it, but your inner voice simply tells you that it would be the wrong decision. Over time, it becomes increasingly clear why, for example, the job isn't the right one – be it because a better offer was waiting for you or because the team spirit and working conditions aren't as rosy as you initially thought.
The more you train your intuition, the more you will feel such things, or rather, the more you will listen to your inner voice.
How to strengthen your intuitionDo you sometimes feel like your intuition is trying to show you the right path – but somehow the voice is still too quiet? These tips can help you strengthen your gut feeling.
- Meditate. Especially in classic mindfulness meditation, you practice simply perceiving what's happening as a neutral observer. You learn to let your thoughts come and go without judging them. The more you succeed in doing this, the more your intuition has a chance to pave its way up—past outdated beliefs and unnecessary judgments.
- Dream diary. We've already discussed how important your dreams are. Perhaps it will help you if you delve a little deeper into your dream world. A good way to do this is to record what you dreamed the night before in a diary right after you get up in the morning. The more you listen to your subconscious, the better you can use it.
- Body awareness. But intuition doesn't just happen in your head—it also happens in your body. After all, it's called gut feeling for a reason. Just as you can train yourself to gain a clear view of your thoughts and emotions through meditation, you can also practice listening to your body and its feelings. Do certain body parts tense up, like your shoulders, or your stomach tighten when you think about certain things? Then it could well be that your intuition is trying to tell you something. Practice listening to your body when making decisions, big and small.
