Chronic back pain: Gabapentin could increase dementia risk
There is increasing evidence that long-term use of gabapentin could promote neurodegenerative processes in the brain. A US study now shows that in adults with chronic back pain, the prescription of gabapentin is associated with an increased risk of dementia.
