Tom Unger, member of the CDU state parliament and health policy spokesman of the CDU parliamentary group in the Saxon state parliament, has Pharmacy . This was announced by the ABDA announced on its website on Friday. According to the report, the chairman of the Saxon Pharmacists Association and DAV board member, Thomas Dittrich, invited him to his own pharmacy in Großröhrsdorf (Bautzen district). Unger was given an insight into the daily work on site – from From courier services to drug advice to organizing delivery bottlenecks.
"I wanted to understand what it means in concrete terms when pharmacies reach their limits – and today I saw: The challenges are great, but the commitment of pharmacies is also impressive," Tom Unger is quoted as saying in a press release from the Saxon Pharmacists' Association (May 7). "Policies must ensure that local care remains secure in the future. This includes better framework conditions for local pharmacies."
According to the ABDA, a central theme of the discussion was the increasingly strained economic situation of many pharmacies. Pharmacy fees have not been adjusted to reflect cost trends for over ten years, while personnel, energy, and operating expenses have steadily increased. As a result, more and more pharmacies are said to be under massive economic pressure.
DAV board member Thomas Dittrich expressed his delight at the interest from state politicians: "It's a strong signal when a health politician sees the situation firsthand. Our problems are concrete – supply bottlenecks, economic pressure, staff shortages, and excessive bureaucracy. At the same time, we are ready for our patients every day."
