Return to Frankfurt: J.Stern & Co. opens office and appoints Germany head

J. Stern & Co. is an independent asset manager based in London with offices in New York, Zurich, Malta and now in Frankfurt.

According to the company, its approach is based on a long-term, fundamental approach to investing in equities and bonds. The company manages €2.1 billion for pension funds, foundations, families, and other long-term investors, including the J. Stern & Co. World Stars Global Equity UCITS Fund and the Emerging Market Debt Stars UCITS Fund.

220 years of banking tradition

Jérôme Stern, Managing Partner, says: "J. Stern & Co. builds on my family's more than 200-year banking tradition, which originated in Frankfurt. Andreas Krebs brings many years of experience in institutional asset management to our return to Frankfurt and the development of our German business, but is also actively involved in the city's public life."

According to Stern, there are still many reminders of the family's history in Frankfurt, such as the Theodor Stern Foundation at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University or the Theodor Stern Quay on the banks of the Main.

Krebs commented on his start as Managing Director and Head of Germany: "Born in Frankfurt, I am particularly looking forward to the challenge of being responsible for building up J.
