|At a Chinese kindergarten, employees mixed highly toxic dye into food for weeks, with serious consequences for hundreds of children. The case reveals not only gaps in the control system but also a cultural problem.
The small date cakes served to the children by the kitchen staff of a western Chinese kindergarten looked colorful. Several centimeters thick, layers of dough in bright colors: green, yellow, and pink. They were accompanied by small corn buns with a bright yellow color. They were perfect for children's eyes.
