The German women's team has been quite successful at the European Football Championship so far. However, one prominent fan has apparently not been able to follow this.
While the German national team has already secured a place in the quarterfinals of the Women's European Championship, Jürgen Klopp hasn't yet watched a single match of the tournament. Speaking at an event at Europa-Park in Rust, the former Liverpool coach explained that he hasn't had the time to do so. He also has no other competitions on his radar at the moment.
Nevertheless, Klopp emphasized his enthusiasm for women's football in an interview with the German Press Agency. "I went to the stadium in Frankfurt back then and watched the girls," said the former Liverpool coach. He has loved women's football from day one.
On Saturday evening, the German national team, led by national coach Christian Wück, will face Sweden in Zurich. Both teams have already qualified for the last eight. A win against the World Cup third-place finisher could secure Germany top spot in Group C.
