Traffic: Full closure of the A3 motorway towards Cologne due to bridge work.

The A3 motorway has been completely closed in the direction of Cologne near the Offenbach interchange since Sunday night. According to the planning and construction company Deges, the closure will remain in effect until 2:00 a.m. on Monday. The parallel carriageway in this direction is also affected.

Also closed during this time are the on-ramp from the A661 coming from the direction of Egelsbach onto the A3 towards Cologne and the off-ramp from the A3 coming from Würzburg onto the A661 towards the south or Egelsbach.

The closure is due to bridge construction work. A temporary bridge is being lifted into place, which will be used during the construction of the new intersection structure.

Traffic on the A3 will be diverted via the A661 towards Oberursel and then via the Bad Homburg interchange onto the A5 to the Frankfurt interchange. Motorists heading towards Egelsbach or Darmstadt on the A661 should follow the signposted diversions.
