Friday evening brings luck to two Lower Saxons: They win in different prize categories at the Eurojackpot.
Two lottery players from Lower Saxony have reason to celebrate: They were successful in different prize categories in Friday evening's Eurojackpot draw. One resident of Lower Saxony landed in the second prize category and won €288,934.50, while another won €190,103.20 in the third prize category.
In the second prize tier, with five correct numbers and one Euro number, the player from Lower Saxony shared his Eurojackpot win with two players from Berlin . Internationally, lucky winners also had success: one participant each from Denmark, Finland, Spain, and Hungary won €288,934.50 with the same winning conditions.
In the third prize tier, with five correct numbers but no Euro number, a player from Lower Saxony and another from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania both won the same sum of €190,103.20. There were also international winners: one player each from Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Slovakia shared the same prize money. The top prize in the first prize tier remained untouched in Friday's draw, so the Eurojackpot continues to grow.
Players pay two euros for each selected field, plus a one-time processing fee per ticket. Besides the traditional paper ticket at lottery retailers, those interested have other options: the state lottery companies and the t-online lottery service offer convenient online participation. Submission deadlines vary by state and end on Tuesdays and Fridays .
In Helsinki, Eurojackpot draws take place twice a week under police supervision. The minimum jackpot is ten million euros, while the maximum prize is 120 million euros. To win the top prize, players must correctly predict five numbers between 1 and 50 and two Euro numbers between 1 and 12. The odds of winning the top prize (prize category 1) are 1 in 139,838,160. In the lowest prize category (category 12), matching two main numbers plus one Euro number is enough to win – with odds of 1 in 49.
